If you don't see your question here, feel free to contact me.
WHERE IS YOUR OFFICE?
I offer morning, daytime and limited evening hours Monday-Friday at 1234 19th St. NW, Washington, DC, 20036, close to Metro's Dupont Circle Station (south exit).
Due to COVID-19, currently I am only seeing clients via telehealth.
HOW LONG ARE YOUR SESSIONS? HOW OFTEN WILL WE MEET?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and occur weekly.
My standard rate is $170 per 50-minute session for individuals, and $220 per session for couples. I am in-network with Carefirst BlueCross/BlueShield PPO. If you wish to use your out-of-network benefits, I am able to provide you with a receipt to provide to your insurer.
WHO ARE YOUR CLIENTS? WHAT IS YOUR THERAPEUTIC APPROACH?
At present, I focus my work on adult individuals (18+), but I occasionally work with couples and families. My approach is “integrative,” which means I incorporate techniques drawn from a number of theoretical frameworks, including Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Art and Music Therapy.
DO YOU PRESCRIBE MEDICATIONS?
As a social worker, I do not prescribe or manage medication, but, if appropriate, I am happy to connect you to a provider who can offer a full psychiatric assessment.
DO YOU OFFER SKYPE SESSIONS OR "TELETHERAPY"?
There are many reasons why virtual therapy sessions can be useful - travel, illness, bad weather, etc. While face-to-face sessions are preferred, if you are an established client, we can discuss situations in which e-therapy may be an option, in accordance with guidelines set forth by the National Association of Social Workers.
