WHAT TO EXPECT
INSIGHT
I approach every new client relationship from a person-in-environment perspective, which means that I will seek to understand you and your behavior in the context of your environment. I'll help you make connections and develop insight into how and why you behave as you do, and how these behaviors relate to how you are feeling.
SUPPORTIVE, SOLUTION-FOCUSED THERAPY
In our sessions, we’ll work to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behavior. I will help you “re-frame” your reactions and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, the effects of trauma, substance use issues, or are feeling stuck in relationships, professional life, or in achieving your goals, we'll work together to move you forward.
INTEGRATIVE APPROACH
We feel best when our mind, bodies, and hearts are in alignment. In my practice, I make use of a variety of theoretical frameworks to help understand and address your symptoms. I employ elements of cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, psychodynamic, art and music therapies, but my focus is always on you as a whole person. Our work is likely to include discussions on diet, sleep, exercise, creative fulfillment and spiritual health.
